For some reason on my android device (OnePlus 7) TickTick won't refresh in background. But my reason to switch from TickTick was single, but really major. Be it even with some limited Projects quantity, but buying for every familymember premium account is overkill. One thing I wish from Todoist, is the reasonably priced Family plan. And after very painful use of MS To-Do and much more worse Apple Reminders, went back to Todoist and happy because of that. It just freezed for 3 minutes and clicking on some project or views froze the app again.

Later after another update it was impossible to use TickTick with Firefox. Well probably it was just false positive issue, but a seed of caution was seeded in me. After some time they told thatthey are talking with Bitdefender team. Bad thing was that the support team was quiet. And with next update there was again the same issue. After that, removed the app, later then issue was resolved, installed again, but inside I was still very suspicious. Many times my Bitdefender was alarming after another update that TickTick is having trojan. But after half years of using, abandoned it. Moved few years ago from Todoist (because it was very slow) to TickTick, used them for some time at the same time and later only TockTick. Have been using them both with premium, even at the same time. I just found it funny that the CEO is focused on those small things while his product is threading water in its product segment and others swim past. I understand that some people are very attached to it though because it works for them. But I got tired of its shortcomings and lack of innovation. But every time I check I feel like it's people asking for workarounds to get functionalities that are already implemented in other products. I was a todoist user for 3 years hence why I'm still subscribed to the sub. That they are taking inspiration from someone else in their app store marketing is not a deal breaker for me. I personally prefer ticktick as well because of the calendar integration. I also think that things 3 and 2do are more feature rich while still doing the basics well. For any other use case than maybe a strictly personal task manager it's superior.

Yeah, Clickup is driving everything forward. What do you think about these two apps? Which one do you find better? In the end, I like both of these apps and I haven't decided yet. But I am a student so I might go with the Todoist premium. If I would like to spend no money I would still go with the TickTick because Todoist free version is very limited. I was satisfied with the TickTick free version but I found that with the Todoist premium I am able to be more productive (I feel like that) and I also need a good desktop app and Todoist desktop app is by far better than TickTick's. I think that TickTick has more to offer in the free version and also in the premium version.

I noticed that a lot of people here write about switching to TickTick.

I also found a 3-month promo code for Todoist here on Reddit so I decided that I will compare these two apps. Last month I decided to try the premium version. I've been TickTick user for about the past 2 years.
